newlook includes full support for integrated 5250 emulation, providing business (and IT) users with the choice of interface style, allowing your organization to evolve to the graphical world completely at your own pace. Just as COBOL remains alive and healthy, so too will green screens devices, like terminals, survive well into the new century. In many cases, they form an important part of our customers' ongoing requirements and their cost effectiveness cannot be disputed. So, newlook provides the integrated solution that supports your existing infrastructure and interface requirements, in addition to the dynamic tools that let you move forward as quickly as you need to.

You can continue to use the your existing toolsets in conjunction with newlook; whether you developed your existing iSeries applications with RPG, COBOL for the AS/400, COOL:2E, AS/Set or other tools; if you're comfortable with those tools you can continue to use them and exploit newlook's intelligent graphical capabilities. You can even use Java on the iSeries and integrate these new modules with newlook. Depending on the degree and sophistication of extensions, integration and re-structuring you wish to achieve, you may require anything from no training to perhaps a week of training, if your existing applications are dated and inconsistent. We have invested significantly in refining newlook's intuitive user interface to mask complexity; however, the extensive customization options and powerful functions required by some of our large iSeries customers and application vendor partners are also available, when required.
